Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed today –
Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund has told the Italian club that he wants to leave amid CHELSEA interest.
Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino knows that he is joining a club that struggled to score goals last season and were one of the lowest in the top-flight.
That has led to many reports in the media that some of the games top strikers could be heading to the club – especially as Pochettino has reportedly told Ted Boehly that he wants a top named signed.
Hojlund has been attracting interest from clubs all over Europe with the 20-year-old impressing with his performances in Serie A.
Chelsea and Manchester United have been linked to the Dane but Atalanta are not keen to sell, with an offer of £55million possibly forcing them to move that stance.
But now Hojlund has asked the club if he can move on after only a year in Italy, according to 90min.
He has reportedly made his thoughts on leaving the club clear through his agents SEG, and the reports claim this news may lead to Chelsea swooping in to try and bring the striker to the Premier League this summer

Look, Hojlund has had a brilliant season and he is going to be a top striker, But Chelsea need a man that can score goals NOW – not in 3 or 4 years time.
The board wants trophies – Pochettino has come in to win and he will want a forward signed that has played at the top level for season -scored goals for fun and of course can play his kind of football.
If Hojlund does leave Atalanta – we are certain it will not be for a move to CHELSEA – he is not ready.
ASENSIO ON THE MOVE –
Real Madrid have confirmed that attacker and long-term Chelsea target Marco Asensio will leave the club at the end of his contract
Asensio joined Real Madrid from Real Mallorca in 2014 and has taken in 250 appearances for the Blancos – scoring over 50 goals and collecting three La Liga titles and three Champions League crowns.
However – there has been alot of speculation about his future at the club and whether or not he is part of Carlo Ancelotti’s long-term plans – which has alerted a number of top level clubs.
It is no secret that Chelsea are massive fans of the man and have been linked with a move for the last few transfer windows – and it was believed that they would get a chance to sign the Spaniard at the end of the season.
Now the Spaniards have officially confirmed that Asensio is leaving the club this summer – In a statement, Real Madrid said: “As madridistas we will never forget his career and his outstanding conduct during all this time.
‘Real Madrid is and will always be his home, and we wish him and all his family the best of luck in this new chapter in his career.”

Asensio is a brilliantly gifted midfielder – there is no doubt about that and if he does come onto the market – he will be hot commodity.
He is achieving everything he has ever wanted at Madrid – and winning trophies on a yearly basis – but if he is not part of the plans at the Bernabeu, then it is time to leave.
But we are not sure that CHELSEA would be the best move – they already have so many players like him at the club.
So he will probably end up at PSG
Velverde wanted –
Luis Suarez has already explained why new CHELSEA boss Mauricio Pochettino reportedly wants to sign Federico Valverde from Real Madrid.
Pochettino is a man that knows he needs to sign players that will improve the squad enough this summer that they will challenge for that Premier League title next season.
And according to Spanish outlet SPORT, the newly-appointed Chelsea boss has convinced the club to offer up to £85million for the midfielder.
The report states that Los Blanco view Valverde as untouchable and will therefore not entertain any offers.
However, if Pochettino can get his hands on the Uruguayan then the Blues could be signing the next Steven Gerrard, as In an interview with MARCA, Luis Suarez compared his fellow countryman to his former Liverpool teammate.
The 36-year-old said: “Honestly – and there are the newspaper archives from 2017 when Fede debuted in the national team – I already said that he reminded me of Steven Gerrard, who was my teammate at Liverpool.
“He has similar conditions. A box to box, with punch, change of pace, a lot of arrival. I don’t want to compare, but the characteristics are similar.
‘I saw Fede coming and he has made tremendous progress, surrounded by big stars. He did very well.”

Pochettino is not even at the club yet and there is all sorts of speculation in the media about what players he desires.
We would be shocked to see Velverde make the move to the Premier League – he is happy at Madrid – has shown no desire to leave the Bernabeu – this is a transfer that CHELSEA need to forget about
