Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed today –
It has been claimed that striker Armando Broja is keen to stay at Chelsea, despite all the latest transfer interest.
Just a few seasons ago Broja was hailed as the next big thing for Chelsea after an impressive loan stint with Southampton, and he was given a chance to prove that he is able to leave that Blues attack.
However – injuries, poor performances and the clubs inability to create on a regular basis has meant that Broja has struggled to make any sort of impact at Stamford Bridge, and he has been just watching his career pass him by.
But He made a significant impact for CHELSEA by winning a crucial penalty in a recent 4-4 draw with Manchester City and is ready to force himself into Mauricio Pochettino’s plans after coming back from a lengthy injury layoff
However – that has not stopped all the speculation that Chelsea will allow him to depart the club and use the funds in order to sign a world class star like Osimhen.
But according to Express, Armando Broja is determined to remain at Chelsea despite the club’s potential signing of a new striker.
It has been claimed that Mauricio Pochettino is very keen for Chelsea to sign an elite striker in the January window and Victor Osimhen is the man that he reportedly desires to lead that attack.
And the reports claims that Broja is keen to stay at Chelsea and prove that he is able to be a Blue for the forseeable future.
The lad is still so young, he is still learning how to be a classy striker, but he is not good enough to get CHELSEA challenging once again.
If he wants to stay at the club and collect his wages, that is upto him, but when another striker comes in he will be further down the pecking order.
OSIMHEN WANTS TO JOIN –
Glen Johnson believes that Victor Osimhen wants to join Chelsea in the January transfer window.
Chelsea have spent some serious money over the past couple of transfer windows and signed so many players that fans have forgotten who has actually been brought to Stamford Bridge.
But despite all the quality that has been signed – CHELSEA failed to sign an elite striker that has the ability to come in and score 25-goals a season, and that has led to reports that Osimhen is a man that is wanted.
The big Napoli star is regarded as one of the finest strikers in the game right now and is a player that Chelsea have been linked with for many seasons, but have been able to get a deal done as the Italians have been asking for crazy money.
But amid all the speculation that Chelsea will be heading back into that transfer window in January to sign Osimhen, Johnson has now opened up and claimed that the Nigerian does want to join Chelsea, despite their poor start to the season.
Speaking to GG Recon, the former Blues defender said: “Regardless of what’s happening at Napoli, I believe Victor would want to join Chelsea anyway.
“However, Victor will be kicking himself that this move could happen when Chelsea are currently in transition. Of course they’re a big team and they’re going to bounce back eventually.
“But as long as Victor is willing to wait 18 months or so for that to happen, then I’m sure he’d still want to sign for them in January. If Napoli continue to struggle this season, then that will make the decision even easier for Victor.”
If CHELSEA do not improve over the next few weeks, no amount of money will convice Osimhen to make the move to London as he will not be happy in a side that is struggling.
We are not even sure that he is good enough to handle the Premier League, it will be a massive risk to sign the man that is for sure.
RAMSDALE GREEN LIGHT?
Arsenal will allow Aaron Ramsdale to leave the club at the end of the season but not during the January transfer window, according to 90min.
Mikel Arteta made the big decision over the summer transfer window to make a move and sign the impressive David Raya on loan until the end of the season, despite the fact that Ramsdale has been brilliant since his move to the Emirates.
David Raya has usurped Ramsdale as Arsenal’s No 1 since the 1-0 win over Everton in September and the club is set to activate an option to make his loan move from Brentford permanent.
Ramsdale featured in the opening four games of the season for Arteta and co. But David Ryaa has started to establish himself in that Arsenal side and there is a feeling that Arteta believes the Spaniard is the way forward.
That has led to some stunning reports in the media which have claimed that CHELSEA are very much interested in a deal to sign Ramsdale in the January window if he pushes for a move away from the Emirates.
A team in the Premier League have made an approach for the England international, according to Football.London, but the Gunners have turned it down as they had no intention of letting the man leave.
But now, according to the 90 Min website, Arsenal will allow Ramsdale to leave the club in the winter window if they receive the money that they are looking for.
It is believed the Gunners value Ramsdale at £50 million.
It is a strange decision to have two impressive Premier League stars at the club, but we do believe that Arteta sees Raya as the future of the club and would be open to selling Ramsdale in the January window.
The right offer from CHELSEA will get a deal done for the man, and the move could be the best thing for him as he would be the immediate number one at Stamford Bridge.
