CHELSEA is delighted to announce that an option to extend the contract of goalkeeper Emily Orman
She joined Chelsea Academy at the age of 16, has trained extensively with the first team and represented England at national performance camps from the age of 14 through to the U-19s and played at the UEFA U-17 Euros
The 20-year-old spent the 2021/22 season on loan at Crystal Palace in the Women’s Championship before returning to Chelsea ahead of the 2022/23 season, where she has been in the first team squad for the entirety of the campaign.
Chelsea announced on the club website: ‘On the international stage, Orman has represented England across the age groups all the way from Under-14s to Under-19s level.
‘We look forward to seeing Emily continue her development in blue next season.’
Chelsea have been working on alot of deals over the past few weeks – some are staying and some are leaving – but Orman is a very talented stopper that could have a big future in the game.
The youngster is still awaiting her senior debut for The Blues but she did enjoy a hugely productive loan spell with Crystal Palace last season – and will be keen to break into that CHELSEA side in the coming years.
She continues to develop well in training and has gained a lot of experience training alongside the squad day in day out this past season – so boss Emma Hayes will be making sure that she gets the training she needs to develop
Great news for the club and the player that is for sure.
