Mac Allister and Neves feature in Liverpool news

Here is a roundup of the top Liverpool news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed today –

Brighton’s World Cup winning midfielder Alexis Mac Allister is very close to sealing his move to LIVERPOOL

There are still a few weeks left of the season to play out and Liverpool are still hoping to get back into those Champions League places in a bid to save their season.

But the transfer window will give Liverpool the chance to sign a few players that will freshen up the side, and Mac Allister is a man that is on the shopping list of Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.

And now Fabrizio Romano claims the move is almost finalised, with Liverpool prepared to pay his exit clause and personal terms with the player ‘almost agreed’. It is claimed the deal could be finalised as soon as next week.

It is believed that Liverpool will have to pay close to £70 million to secure the services of Mac Allister.

Despite their poor season – LIVERPOOL are still one of the best sides in the world and adding a few players to the squad in the summer will reignite their quest to win more trophies.

Mac Allister is a man that is ready for that next step in his career and Liverpool will be a big move.

Although that amount of money for the player is crazy and we would much prefer that the Reds spend a bit less on completing this move – apart from the World Cup win – he has not done too much in the game.

But dont get us wrong – he is still a player that most sides in the Premier League would love to have in the squad.

Liverpool told to sign Neves –

LIVERPOOL have been urged to make a move for Wolves star Ruben Neves, who is out of contract next summer.

Liverpool are one of the biggest clubs in the game right now and have so many world class players – but they will probably end the season without Champions League football after a very disappointing year.

That will mean that Jurgen Klopp will need to improve the squad at the end of the campaign and sign players that will improve the side – with Neves a man that is reportedly on the shopping lost.

The 26-year-old has been tipped to leave Wolves for the last few transfer windows – but has stayed loyal to Wolves in hope that they could progress in the Premier League.

However – he has revealed that he would like to leave the club this summer and that has led to suggestions in the media that Barcelona are all set to wrap up a transfer deal.

Bit Agbonlahor has opened up and encouraged the Reds to make a move for the Portuguese star – claiming Liverpool would still be a good move for the player to make.

“He wants to play at a top club, and he’s said he wants to play in the Champions League,” former Premier League striker Gabriel Agbonlahor told Football Insider.

LIVERPOOL aren’t in that competition, but they’re a big club, a big draw – and I’m sure they can attract top players like him.

“I just can’t see him staying at Wolves. If you’re a starter for Portugal, you should be at a better club than Wolves.

‘That’s no disrespect, but he’s better than them. Liverpool need midfielders, but they can’t quite afford [Moises] Caicedo or [Declan] Rice.

‘But Neves, you could get him for half the price of those two – I’m sure.”

Reds free to sign Tielemans –

LIVERPOOL are now free to try and sign Youri Tielemans after he announced that he is leaving Leicester City.

Tielemans is out of contract this summer and his departure comes after Leicester were relegated from the Premier League on the final day of the season on Sunday.

Liverpool and Arsenal have both been linked with moves for the midfielder in recent months and now both will be able to open talks about a free move over the next few months.

He posted on social media: “Dear Leicester fans, after four and a half special years and with a lot of gratitude I’m bidding farewell to this incredible club,” the Belgium international said in a video on Instagram.

“From the first day I set foot on this ground, your warmth and passion embraced me. Victory and triumph, love, hope and even defeat, we’ve shared many special moments together.

“I am forever grateful for your unwavering support, thank you to Khun Top, the board, the staff, the players and fans for having given me and my family a home.

“This is not a goodbye, but a heartfelt farewell. With pride, love and eternal gratitude, Youri Tielemans.”

Although Tielemans has not been at his best this season – he is a brilliantly gifted player that at the right club – could be a real game-changer.

There are quite a few options for the man this coming transfer window and he will need to make sure that he joins a club that will give him the game time that he desires.

Jurgen Klopp is a massive fan so we are fully expecting LIVERPOOL to make a move – and he may find it hard to turn down a move to Anfield that is for sure.
