Jonah Heim drove in two runs and Josh Jung had three hits, including a solo home run, to boost the visiting Texas Rangers to a 5-2 win against the Chicago White Sox on Monday night

Texas stretched its winning streak to three games while out-hitting Chicago 12-9. The Rangers scored runs in the first, third and fourth innings to build a lead that proved too much for the White Sox to overcome, as the hosts lost for the fourth time in five games

Chicago climbed back into the game behind the long ball. With two outs in the sixth inning, Andrew Vaughn and Luis Robert Jr. connected for back-to-back home runs against Rangers starter Andrew Heaney, and the White Sox pulled within 3-2

Entering the inning with just two hits on the night, the White Sox had three straight hits to chase Heaney from the game. The Texas bullpen held steady, however, allowing Heaney (5-4) to earn the victory

The left-hander scattered two runs and five hits in 5 2/3 innings while striking out six and walking none.

Heim’s two-run single in the seventh put the visitors back on top by three runs.

Chicago loaded the bases with one out in the eighth before Josh Sborz pitched out of the threat with consecutive strikeouts of Yasmani Grandal and Jake Burger.

Will Smith worked around a walk, single and wild pitch in the ninth to notch his 13th save in 14 tries.

Left-hander Tanner Banks started for the White Sox, who used a bullpen game after Mike Clevinger recently landed on the 15-day injured list due to inflammation in his right biceps

Banks ended Chicago’s streak of 191 successive games started by a right-handed pitcher, the longest active streak in the major leagues, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

Banks (0-2) gave up three runs and five hits in 3 2/3 innings with three strikeouts and no walks.

White Sox shortstop and leadoff man Tim Anderson was out of the lineup for the second straight day after leaving Saturday’s contest in Seattle with right shoulder soreness

Ezequiel Duran had two hits for the Rangers. Elvis Andrus, Vaughn and Robert each had two hits for the White Sox
