Here is a roundup of the top West Ham news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed today –

It has been claimed that WEST HAM will accept an offer for Said Benrahma if it arrives in the January window.

Benrahma has fallen well down the pecking order under David Moyes this season after being tipped for a move away during the summer window, and there has been alot of speculation surrounding his future.

A few clubs from the Saudi Pro League are very much interested in a deal for the attacker, and knowing that he is not happy at the Hammers are planning to make offers in just a few weeks time.

Alan Nixon – a close contact of Moyes – has now revealed that Benrahma has a new agent who is well connected with Arab clubs, and one of his first jobs was to have a face-to-face meeting with Moyes about the Algerian

Nixon claims it was agreed that West Ham will sell the bit-part winger if the right offer comes in purely to raise funds needed for other areas.

“Benrahma’s new agent is well connected among the leading Arab outfits and has recently been to London for a face to face meeting with Hammers chief David Moyes,” Nixon said on his Patreon.

“If the bid comes in Hammers may accept as Benrahma is not guaranteed a game with them these days and his appearances and game time are less.

“Moyes won’t want to push Benrahma out, especially with Europe still on the fixture list, but the right cash may sway the decision.”

IcFootballnews View..

Benrahma is a very gifted footballer and it is sad to see that he is more tempted by the money in Saudi Arabia. But if the club do get a very good amount of money, then they can get somebody that will make a big impact on the side.

BERGWIJN BOOST GIVEN

Steven Bergwijn has been linked with a move to West Ham United from Ajax in the January transfer window.

Bergwijn already has Premier League experience having spent two years at Tottenham between 2020 and 2022. However, things didn’t work out for the Dutch star in North London and decided to move to Ajax to resurrect his career.

The Hammers desperately need more cover across the front-line, with Mohammed Kudus, Said Benrahma and Maxwel Cornet all potentially AFCON bound at the end of this year.

And that has led to speculation in the media that a move for Bergwijn could be on the cards for the WEST HAM board having already signed Mohammed Kudus from the Dutch giants in the summer

Now Ajax boss John van ‘t Schip responded directly when asked whether Bergwijn could join West Ham this winter, as quoted by Football Oranje:

“I haven’t heard anything about it. It’s probably the case. But when it really becomes concrete, I will hear about itI assume that Steven will stay with us, certainly until the end of the season. And if a huge offer comes in, you know how it works. But I would prefer if he stays.”

Speaking about the West Ham rumours, Bergwijn has not ruled a move out in January and stated: “you can never rule out anything.”

Speaking to ESPN Netherlands, the Ajax star said via Fabrizio Romano: “You should ask my agent. “Leaving Ajax in January? In football, you can never rule out anything.”

“But I am happy here, I have my children and family here.”

Should West Ham sign Bergwijn?

Look, the man is a very good footballer that could make an impact at WEST HAM– he has done a decent job at Ajax and for the right money – could be a solid enough signing.

SOLANKE CLAIM MADE –

West Ham United supporters would not be ‘terribly excited’ if they lure Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke to the London Stadium,

Gianluca Scamacca joined WEST HAM in the summer of 2022 for a fee of £35 million and David Moyes had hoped that the Italian would be the man that could score 20 goals a season.

However – he failed to live upto the hype for West Ham and did not impress like many had hoped for, and only after one season in the Premier League, he made the decision to move back to Italian football.

And that led to some stunning reports in the media which suggested that a move for Solanke was on the agenda for the Hammers in the summer window, although a move never actually materialized.

However – heading into the January window there has been alot of speculation linking the Hammers with the striker once again, but Journalist Paul Brown has told GIVEMESPORT that the Hammers ‘need a genuinely top-class striker’.

He Said: “It’s difficult to know. I don’t like to try and guess at the thinking of two people I haven’t spoken to on the subject, so I wouldn’t want to say that he is one man’s signing or another’s.

“I can see why he might fit the bill, but I think that West Ham fans would like the club to be looking a little bit higher than that.

“I think West Ham need a genuinely top-class striker who fans can get really excited about, and I’m not sure they would be terribly excited about Solanke coming to the club.”

WILL SOLANKE BE A GOOD SIGNING?

He is not a man that can score 20-goals a season – has never been that type of player – but he is a player that will add depth.

WEST HAM should be trying to sign a forward that will make an impact – and Moyes wants to sign a player that has already established himself in the Premier League.

So for the right money – Solanke could be a decent signing by the Hammers.
