Gavi and striker all feature in Chelsea news now today

Toney is currently in the middle of a ban that keeps him out of football until January, but that has not stopped speculation that he is a player that CHELSEA are very much interested in signing.

The Blues have spent some serious money over the last couple of transfer windows, but are lacking a striker that has the ability to score 20 goals a season, and Toney is reportedly the man that Mauricio Pochettino would like the board to sign in just a few months time.

And while Toney would provide a genuine goalscorig outlet, there has been fears that Brentford would be asking far too much money for a player that will have not played for eight months.

But according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, on his podcast on Caughtoffside, has said, (via Simon Phillips), “Ivan Toney will cost at least £60m for interested clubs in January.”

Ivan Toney is a brilliant striker that should be at one of the big clubs in the coming seasons, so we are fully expecting offers to be made in January, and the big man to make that transfer move.

And honestly, he would be a brilliant addition to that Chelsea attack – he is the ideal man to lead that Blues attack.

It has been reported that Chelsea are the favourites to sign Gavi from Barcelona in the January window or at the end of the season.

CHELSEA have really splashed the cash over the past couple of transfer windows and there is no doubt that they have brought some quality to the side, but they have also brought alot of players into the club that are simply not ready.

Gavi to leave Barca?

That has led to many reports in the media that Mauricio Pochettino will be given some more transfer funds in order to sign the players that he believes can add something to the side, and Gavi is on the shopping list.

According to the Fichages.net website Chelsea are the favourites to land the teenage sensation and will need to fork out around €100 million to secure his services. Whether it will prove to be too good to refuse for Barcelona remains to be seen.

The Spanish giants are in a financial mess and although they do not want to sell their prized asset, they know that the money generated from his sale will go along way into getting them back to being one of the best in the game.

If CHELSEA manage to sign Gavi in the next couple of transfer windows, it will be a game-changer for the club, he really is a special talent that will surely become one of the best in the game.

But even though Barcelona may be open to selling the Spaniard, he simply has no desire to leave the club and come to the Premier League, so the Blues would be getting a player that does not 100 per cent want to be there.

If he comes, he could be great, but we are sure that he is staying put.

CHELSEA WILL LOOK TO SIGN STRIKER –

Fabrizio Romano believes Chelsea will look to strengthen their forward line in the January transfer window, with Victor Osimhen on the list.

Osimhen has ready established himself as one of the very best strikers in the game right now and a man that is tipped to make a big transfer move in the next couple of windows.

He helped Napoli win their first League title for many seasons and led the scoring charts in the process – with reports suggesting that the Italians now value him at around the £170 million mark.

CHELSEA have somewhat struggled in front of goal so far this season, with summer signing Nicolas Jackson only finding the net three times so far this season.

Speaking to CaughtOffside, Romano told of Boehly’s January plans in attack, stating: “With Chelsea, a new striker for sure will be discussed ahead of January, while a new centre-back can be a possibility in case they find an opportunity but they’re not desperate to get one, it depends on the market opportunities, so I can’t give names for the moment, but they have excellent directors so I’m sure they will find good options if that’s what they decide.

“For the striker position, we already know about links with Ivan Toney and Victor Osimhen, and for sure either of them would be top top signings. For Osimhen, however, I still think a January move away from Napoli is looking difficult.”

According to Janusz Michallik, speaking on ESPN, Osimhen is much more likely to sign for Chelsea, and the pundit says that a move to Stamford Bridge makes the world of sense for Osimhen as the Blues finally look to solve their long-standing striking issue.

“This is no longer a rumour, this is a fact. I’m saying it. CHELSEA need a new striker, Osimhen has been in the rumour mill before. It won’t be cheap and who knows if De Laurentis will let him go, but I just think this is going to happen.

‘A last ditch effort from Chelsea because who else are they going to get?” Michallik said.

Osimhen is one of the very best players in world football, there is no doubt about that guys, so If Chelsea manage to wrap up a deal, they will be signing a 30 goal a season striker.

It is a big claim to make that he could go to CHELSEA, but they have the money and the space for a player like him, so if he does come onto the market, that Blues board would be massive fools to not make a move for the man that is for sure.
