Kai Havertz tipped to be an Arsenal flop

0

New boy Kai Havertz will continue to struggle for form and the right position at Arsenal, it has been claimed this weekend.

The decision was made from ARSENAL to splash £65 million on the German at the very start of the summer transfer window in a move that shocked many in the Premier League.

He had a decent pre-season and looked like he was settling into life at the Emirates pretty well, but he has not started the new season like many people had hope for and looks like the player that was pretty much useless last season for Chelsea.

Now – ex-defender William Gallas has opened up and tipped the German star to be a flop for Arsenal, as they simply do not know what the right position is for the attacker to play.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –

The Frenchman told Gambling Zone: “At the moment Havertz isn’t performing. I was surprised to see him go to Arsenal. They could have got another player.

“It is difficult for him to find the right position.

“How Arsenal play is not the same as Chelsea – it’s hard for him at the moment. I don’t think he is going to be a success at Arsenal.”

Arteta, however, remains adamant Havertz will come good and insists the lack stability in a side which has been forced to cope with a spate of injuries and suspensions already this term has hardly helped his adaptation process.

‘He can play in so many different roles and play it so well,’ said Arteta

‘He has a football brain, how he understands when to move, how to move, when to stay, when to run. It’s phenomenal. At the moment, it’s true that he’s played with three different people behind him (Jurrien Timber, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Jakub Kiwior) and they are the ones that have to make him good.

‘These guys depend on the ones in the back. I was a midfielder, if, the two central defenders are like this [with their eyes closed] and they give you the ball all the time to the wrong foot at the right time with the wrong pace. Disaster, I look bad. If I have good players behind me they make life much easier. So let’s do that.’

If ARSENAL needed a player like Havertz in the side we could understand why he was signed in the summer, but they do not. When all the players are back fit and healthy, we think he will be on the bench.

It was a strange decision from Arsenal to sign Havertz and we think it will be a decision they will regret.
