West Ham United have reportedly told Bournemouth that they would like to sign Dominic Solanke over the next few days.
Gianluca Scamacca joined WEST HAM in the summer of 2022 for a fee of £35 million and David Moyes had hoped that the Italian would be the man that could score 20 goals a season.
However – he failed to live upto the hype for West Ham and did not impress like many had hoped for, and only after one season in the Premier League, he made the decision to move back to Italian football.
That means that Hammers boss David Moyes has been left a little bit light up front – and now it seems that they have started making their moves to try and sign Bournemouth star Solanke.
WHAT IS THE LATEST –
According to Football Insider, Solanke has been identified as the club’s preferred addition to their forward line and the Hammers have already informed Bournemouth that they are keen on the striker
In his four-and-a-half years with the Cherries, Solanke has contributed 57 goals and 28 assists from his 176 appearances in all competitions.
WILL SOLANKE BE A GOOD SIGNING?
If the Hammers are interested in signing Solanke as the replacement for Scamacca – they will be getting a very good squad member.
He is not a man that can score 20-goals a season – has never been that type of player – but he is a player that will add depth.
WEST HAM should be trying to sign a forward that will make an impact – but there is only a few days left in the summer transfer window and Moyes wants to sign a player that has already established himself in the Premier League.
So for the right money – Solanke could be a decent signing by the Hammers.
AJAX TOLD TO SELL KUDUS –
Ajax have been urged to cash in on Mohammed Kudus if WEST HAM meet the £40 million asking price this summer.
The Hammers have been doing some very good business over the past few weeks and have FINALLY started to improve the side – which is getting the fans very excited for the new seasons.
However – there is still plenty of time for the Hammers to try and get some more transfer business done this transfer season, and Kudus is a man that has been linked with a move.
The Ajax star had a fabulous season last year and netted an impressive 18 goals – which has alerted some very big clubs to his potential and quality.
Now – amid all the speculation and rumours regarding West Ham – Kenneth Perez believes that Kudus should be sold.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
“He played well. He had great actions, and he does surprising things,” Perez told Voetbal Primeur
“But you can’t rely on him as a team.
“Your ‘number ten’ is so unpredictable that it is almost impossible to play with. I think he is potentially the best player (Ajax) have individually. But, for the team, I would always take that £40 to £50 million to strengthen you in a different way.”

If West Ham manage to sign the impressive Kudus – he will be another brilliant signing for the club, he has the ability to play in quite a few positions.
£40 million is not alot of money these days and he would really bring some more quality to that West Ham midfield.
So if WEST HAM are looking to add another midfielder to the side that has the ability to play in a number of positions – then there will not be too many fans that will be disappointed with the arrival of Kudus that is for sure.
DOKU DECISION –
Jeremy Doku has reportedly made it clear that he only wants to join Manchester City, with interest from WEST HAM.
WEST HAM have been in the transfer headlines alot over the past few weeks as it has been suggested that David Moyes is still looking to add another attacker to the attack this transfer window.
Gianluca Scamacca has already departed the club for a move back to Italian football, while there is alot of speculation in the media that Michail Antonio is also interested in departing London Stadium.
Doku came through the ranks at RSC Anderlecht and made it to their first team, and his performances caught the attentions of Rennes – who acquired his service back in October 2020 where he has become a big part of the French side.
He has featured in a total of 91 matches for the French club and has been involved in 22 goals – and there has been alot of talk that Man City and Newcastle are also interested in a potential deal.

90min reports that the hot prospect has made a move to the Etihad Stadium his top priority.
Doku has been identified as a player who could fill the void on the right wing, with the Belgian telling Rennes he wants the transfer.

Doku is a very exciting young attacker that could be a massive signing for WEST HAM if they are able to get some sort of deal done – but we just cant see them beating Man City to a potential deal.
And if the reports are true and the attacker is keen on making a move to Man City – it will be a very good move to make as they are easily the best side in the Premier League right now.
It will be interesting to see just who else the Hammers manage to sign over the next couple of days though.
